Easter gifts that glow

The days grow longer and the balcony comes back to life. For Easter, a gift that gathers sunlight: by day the Sun Jar sits in the window, at night it lights up by itself. And inside the jar goes whatever looks like spring.

For the jar

What goes in the jar at Easter

The jar opens. Fill it like an Easter nest — or with what you collected on your walk. At night it glows from within.

A light for the Easter walk

Easter is when people head outside again. The Sun Jar carries by its handle: on an evening walk, to the Easter bonfire, back through the dark garden.

By day the SOMO in the lid charges in the sun; at night it switches on by itself. Warm white, dimmable, up to 28 hours on medium.

Light in the garden

Hang the lanterns in a tree or set them on the garden table. The Sun Jar is weatherproof to IP65 and can stay outside, over Easter and all summer long.

And because the SOMO is replaceable, the gift does not end with the battery.

Made by hand in Johannesburg

We make every Sun Jar by hand, from glass with recycled content and stainless steel, in our Fair-Trade-certified factory at Victoria Yards. On the Artisan Edition, the beads are set by hand.

The people there have steady work, in a region where more than 60 percent of young people have none.
