Congratulations on the anniversary: 50 years of world stores!

Greetings from Bad Hersfeld: congratulations, an anniversary edition and lots of impressions from the Weltladen Fachtage

The Sonnenglas® success story in Europe has been closely linked to the work of worldshops and the fair trade community from the very beginning. We see the work of the worldshops, which is largely carried out by volunteers, as an indispensable link between the producers of fairly manufactured products and the consumers in Europe.

It was particularly exciting for us to meet and get to know many of our Sonnenglas® partners across Germany in person. Our Managing Director Diana Petschow was on site together with her colleagues Tina Profit and Sandra Kohlsaat and had many interesting conversations.

Two employees from South Africa, Sweetness Mashego and Tebogo Latakgomo, also almost enriched our stand. However, due to minor difficulties in organizing their visas, we had to find an alternative solution and were still able to include them thanks to a video call. We are looking forward to this opportunity next year.

Congratulations on 50 years of world stores

With this in mind, we would like to congratulate the Weltladen-Dachverband on its 50th anniversary! For half a century, the association has worked tirelessly to promote fair trade, protect the environment and support disadvantaged communities. We are very proud to say that we are part of this movement and that we are working together for a better world with our Sonnenglas®.

The Weltladen umbrella organization has raised awareness of ethical consumption and sustainable development through its work. Through their work, they have not only improved the lives of producers worldwide, but also created a wider acceptance of fair trade products. Together, we have built a growing community that supports fair trade and sustainable practices.

We atSonnenglas® are proud to be part of this movement and to make our contribution. Our solar lights, handmade and produced under fair working conditions, are in line with the values of the Weltladen umbrella organization. Together, we strive to shape a sustainable future and bring about positive change.

We would like to express our sincere thanks and congratulations to the Weltladen umbrella organization for the past 50 years. It is inspiring to see how joint efforts and cooperation can have a significant impact on the world. We are confident that the Weltladen-Dachverband will continue to set standards and break new ground in the years to come.
