Solar cells, battery and light in one module: the SOMO charges in the sun by day and glows in your Light Carafe at night. Take it out and use it on its own – as a flashlight, in another Sonnenglas or under the Lightshade.

SOMO has been around since 2022 – and it also fits every older Sonnenglas, right back to the first one from 2013. Your jar stays; only the light gets new.

The story

The Light Carafe C1 is a water carafe by day and a lamp on the table by night. It holds one litre and stands 27 centimetres tall; on top sits the SOMO Classic — it charges on the windowsill by day and glows warm white and dimmable through the glass by night. And like everything we make, it belongs to the Victoria Yards factory that carries fair jobs in Johannesburg.
